Client Care

Long gone are the days when solicitors could afford to give clients anything less than a high standard of service. Nowadays clients expect and are entitled to receive good service at a competitive price. At Thomson & Bancks LLP Solicitors, providing a quality service has always been our aim. We also have a policy of continually improving our service where possible.

All work done by us is carried out by or under the supervision of a partner. All of our solicitors hold current Practising Certificates and are covered by professional indemnity insurance up to a limit of £7 million. All money received by us is handled in accordance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and clients' money is kept entirely separate from our own business accounts. Our accounts are also audited annually by qualified accountants, with specific attention given to ensuring that the Solicitors' Accounts Rules are complied with in every respect.

On receipt of instructions from a client or after the first interview, we will usually write to confirm the instructions given by the client.

In addition:

  • We will state who will be dealing with the matter
  • We will tell the client who they should contact if the person dealing with the matter is not available for any reason

As we recognise that clients must have as much useful information as we can realistically give about the amount of our charges, we will give an estimate of our charges, or if it is not possible to give an estimate, an indication as to how the charges will be calculated.
